Luna’s Story
Luna is our Siberian Gray Wolf who we adopted at just 8 weeks old. She has been an important member of our “family pack” for 8 years and is the inspiration behind the Iron Wolf name.
Luna is a friendly and loving Siberian grey wolf – lucky for us as the nature and demeanor of wolves is quite diverse and never assured. As a smaller female, she is friendly and submissive, though still very independent, and extremely intelligent.
She loves to be up high looking down (always prefers taking the “high ground”) and loves to run like the wind! Unlike the Husky and Malamute breeds, which are typically strong for pulling, she is lean with long, thin legs for speed, which in the wild will keep her fed and alive. Wolves have large brains and very strong jaws for biting force. Also, their eyes are typically yellow or amber – not blue or brown as people sometimes think.
Luna loves all people and dogs and LOVES making new friends. Be sure to say hello when you see her at the Ranch on Fridays!
