In line with this journey\, his current soulful acoustic blues sound has taken many stylistic twists and turns on the road to its current expression. He began creating music and learning guitar at 15 by playing along to Nirvana’s Unplugged record. When Ryan was 19 he wrote and recorded his first acoustic album called “I AM” in San Antonio TX. He recorded the full 12 songs in one take as a live performance. Along with his dream of creating music for film being fulfilled through a 2020 commission of a theme song for a short film entitled “Perdition”\, Ryan wrote and recorded a theme for the “Luminations” art exhibition at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center in Austin\, Texas. Most recently Ryan was excited to complete the single “PICK YOUR HEAD UP”. In part\, this single was a response to the difficulties of the covid pandemic and yet it contains a hopefulness that has been a marker of Ryan’s new season of life and work. \n\n“His poignant lyrics and eclectic rhythms are beautifully orchestrated\, making his music both original and incredibly captivating. DESCRIPTION:The Caterwaulers featuring Lisa Perlet and Daniel Tessmer live at Iron Wolf. Saturday\, June 29th 2-5pm\n\nAustin\, Texas musicians Lisa Perlet and Daniel Tessmer happened upon their soothing and soulful blend of vocal harmonies by chance\, first performing together on the fly at an open mic night in Cedar Park at the end of 2020\, covering songs by the likes of The Rolling Stones and Chris Stapleton. Each had picked up a guitar at age 13 and later began performing solo or with other artists as part of the local music scene\, so one might say their collaboration was a long time coming but not a moment too soon when the two officially teamed up as a duo to form the Caterwaulers in the spring of 2021. Since then\, they’ve built a diverse repertoire that’s inclusive of singer-songwriter originals and a little bit of everything else from bluesy roots rock to country. DESCRIPTION:Come see Iron Wolf Ranch & Distillery at Flower Mound Smoke & Whiskey Fest on Saturday\, October 26! \nThe Flower Mound Smoke and Whiskey Fest is a Texas State BBQ Championship and Fundraiser for the Summit Club of Flower Mound.  Attendees will enjoy tasting BBQ samples and vote for their favorite in the People’s Choice competition.  There will be live music\, vendors\, and a chance to taste Texas whiskeys in the Whiskey Corral. DESCRIPTION:The Caterwaulers featuring Lisa Perlet and Daniel Tessmer live at Iron Wolf. Saturday\, October 26th 2-5pm\n*SHOW IS HAPPENING DURING OUR BOOZE & BOOS: SIP\, SHOP\, & TRUNK OR TREAT EVENT*\n\nAustin\, Texas musicians Lisa Perlet and Daniel Tessmer happened upon their soothing and soulful blend of vocal harmonies by chance\, first performing together on the fly at an open mic night in Cedar Park at the end of 2020\, covering songs by the likes of The Rolling Stones and Chris Stapleton. Each had picked up a guitar at age 13 and later began performing solo or with other artists as part of the local music scene\, so one might say their collaboration was a long time coming but not a moment too soon when the two officially teamed up as a duo to form the Caterwaulers in the spring of 2021. Since then\, they’ve built a diverse repertoire that’s inclusive of singer-songwriter originals and a little bit of everything else from bluesy roots rock to country. They deliver it all with their own spin as part of a performance that is as fun to listen to as it is unique and memorable\, and together they are planning the release of the first Caterwaulers EP in 2024.\n\nIron Wolf Ranch & Distillery is located in the beautiful Texas Hill Country and offers 15 acres of views\, bold spirits\, good eats from our rotating food truck partners\, yard games and more! Try our unique and award winning lineup of seven different spirits ranging from a refreshing modern citrus Gin to our pack favorite sweet & spicy Hotscotch flavored whiskey. We also have mocktails and a playground for our younger pack members!
